Crochet Tails and fan art

I've been meaning to crochet my favourite Sonic character for a while now and it turned out great (apart from the face, it looks kind of creepy) I made the pattern myself, since it's quite simple I'm going to adapt it to make more sonic characters.
I've also been drawing a lot of fan art recently:
I'm thinking of re-theming this blog again,  I don't really feel that the current design matches the content (or it's just me being indecisive XD)

Bean cat charms

For the first time, I've decided to make my own fimo charms, and I can't believe how quick and fun it is! So far I've made a set of two charms, the bean cats:
As soon as I get the hang of it more charms are soon to follow.

Pusheen cake

After watching a great tutorial, I just had to make this Pusheen cake.
It wasn't perfect, but I had loads of fun making it and I will defiantly try again in the future.
You can find how to make your own here:http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=vtc7fH7pJ1w

Craft fair fun

I visited my first craft show yesterday and I have to say that it was a great experience and I can't wait to visit another one. There were many cool items for sale but my favourite had to be amigo the raccoon (pictured above) and some stinging nettle soap that smells amazing!
I've been making a few more things myself including a Christmas pop tart tree decoration and a cute little fox.
P.S I don't know if Christmas pop tarts exist but if not I wish they did!

Find me on DeviantART

Hi crafters, apart from making things out of yarn one of my favorite hobbies is to draw fan art for my devianART page. You can see some of my work here or check out my gallery (I also put some of my craft projects on there too.)

Stoat Christmas cards

I've recently gotten into card making and really want to design some Christmas cards this year. Inspired by my love of Welkin weasels, I give you a ermine stoat card!
I base the stoat heavily off the character of Prince Poynt, the white furred stoat ruler of Welkin. It states in the book that he never loses his white ermine pelt in the summer like other stoats, therefor he constantly feels the cold, this gave me the idea about the stoat not worrying about the cold weather seen on the card. This was really fun to draw, so I may do other designs in the future.

Knitted mouse and cute cat pics

A while ago I made my aunty's new kitten  Mickey a multicoloured toy mouse and she seems to enjoy playing with it more than the bought toys she has.
She also loves to 'help' me knit.

Free pattern-pop tart bracelet

Nyan!
Another one of my strange obsession is with the pop tart bodied animal, Nyan cat!

After recently making a nyan cat bow from http://www.nyanpon.com I wanted to make something to go with it, that's where the pop tart bracelet comes in.
What you need:
beige yarn
pink yarn
any color you want for the sprinkles
crochet hook
tapestry needle

Pattern:
with pink chain 6, stitch in second chain from hook and stitch across.
*Chain 1, stitch across*
continue until it is long enough to fit round your wrist, don't brake yarn yet.
Attach the beige yarn and stitch around the edge of your bracelet
Sew on sprinkles in any color you like.
Sew the ends together and your done!
Why not make some in all different colors and sizes?
(Please don't sell this pattern or the items made from it)

Project in progress- Silver the hedgehog cross stitch

I love video games and Sonic the hedgehog is no exception. What better project for an obsessed sonic fan than a cross stitch of their favorite character? Even though Silver came from possibly the worst sonic game ever I still think he's an awesome character. He's also loads of fun to stitch  (even though his spines took ages!)
To make the pattern I saved an image of Silver and put it into pic2pat.com (a really cool website where you can turn any picture into a cross stitch pattern) and the chart was generated. I'm trying to get this finished by the end of the summer holiday but it took me a week and a half just to do this (I could of done more if my cat would stop trying to eat the material.)

welcome and new logo (old)

Welcome to my craft blog! I'm quite existed since this is my first blog and I'll try to post around 2-3 times a week. This is the logo for my blog, the weasel being based off the one of the characters from the Welkin Weasel series (one of my favorite books). I love getting feedback so if you have anything to say about my crafts please let me know. That's all for now, but I'll post again soon.
keep blogging,
